Abstract Submission

Abstract Submission Conditions and General Rules

All abstracts for the 10th International Congress of Cleft Lip and Palate must be submitted as a Word document via email to registration@muneraevent.com. Submissions sent to any other email address, by fax, postal mail, or hand delivery, will not be accepted.

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be submitted by April 21, 2025, at 24:00 (midnight). They will be reviewed anonymously by the Scientific Committee, and acceptance will be determined based on the reviewers’ evaluations.
  • Abstracts should not exceed 300 words.
  • The title should fully reflect the content of the study.
  • The names, titles, institutions, cities, and contact details of all authors must be clearly stated.
  • The abstract must not contain any identifying information that could reveal the authors’ identities or institutions to maintain blind review integrity.
  • Except for case reports, abstracts should include the following sections:
    • Objective: Clearly state the purpose and goals of the study.
    • Materials and Methods: Specify the methodology, materials, subject type, and sample size.
    • Results: Present key findings, including statistical analyses if applicable.
    • Conclusion: Summarize the outcomes based on study findings.
  • Each participant can submit a maximum of 2 abstracts (1 oral + 1 poster, 2 oral, or 2 poster presentations).
  • All abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, and acceptance decisions will be communicated.
  • Acceptance or rejection notifications will be sent by May 8, 2025.
  • At least one author from each accepted abstract must register for the congress. Only registered authors’ presentations will be included in the program and abstract book.
  • Full-text submissions are optional but will be published in the congress proceedings book if submitted.


Abstract Preparation and Formatting Rules

  • Language: Abstracts must be written in Turkish or English with proper grammar. Authors are responsible for any errors.
  • Title: The title should be written in all uppercase letters.
  • Abstract Text: Excluding keywords, abstracts must not exceed 300 words and should include the following sections:
    • Objective
    • Materials and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusion
  • Keywords: A minimum of three keywords should be provided.


Abstract Categories

Each abstract must be classified under one of the following categories, as this is essential for proper review and session organization:

  • Orthodontics
  • Surgery
  • Speech
  • Other


Poster Presentation Guidelines

  • Posters must be printed and presented in portrait orientation with dimensions of 70 cm (width) x 100 cm (height).
  • Posters will be displayed in the designated exhibition area as determined by the organizing committee.
  • The presenting author’s name should be underlined.
  • The presenting researcher must stand by their poster at the assigned time to discuss their study.


Oral and Poster Presentation Awards

Oral and Poster Presentation Competition will be held during the 10th International Congress of Cleft Lip and Palate.

  • Candidates must indicate their award application in the abstract form and submit a full-text version of their research (not exceeding 10 pages, including tables, figures, and references) by the final abstract submission deadline.
  • The Cleft Lip and Palate Association reserves the right to determine award recipients.
  • The 10th International Congress of Cleft Lip and Palate Award will be granted if a sufficient number of eligible research submissions are received.
  • Full-text research submissions will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and winners will be announced during the congress.
